Pre and Post Treatments Care
It is IMPORTANT to follow the recommended pre and post treatment advice to ensure the treatment is carried out safely and for optimal results from your laser treatment. We can only make the treatment safe if the pre and post care is followed.

Before Treatment
-
DO – Thoroughly shave the treatment area the day before or the morning of your treatment. I recommend shaving with a good, clean razor and a conditioner to get a close clean shave.
-
DO – Come to your appointment with completely clean skin, no moisturisers, deodorants, make up, fake tan etc.
-
DO – Wear loose clothing to your appointment
-
DON’T – Apply fake tan on the treatment area for at least 7 days prior to your treatment and make sure and residue is removed from the skin beforehand.
-
DON’T – Wax, thread, bleach, have electrolysis or use depilatory creams on the treatment area for 30 DAYS before your treatment.
-
DON’T – Use sunbeds or expose the treatment area to sun for at least 28 days, or the advised time by your laser therapist, prior to your treatment as it can be dangerous to have laser on an area of active tan.

After Treatment
-
DO – Generously apply aloe vera gel to the treatment area after the treatment and for as many days as required.
-
DO – Apply a cold compress to the treatment area if it feels hot.
-
DO – Exfoliate 10/12 days after your treatment.
-
DO – Use SPF 30+ on the treatment area when outside for 4 weeks after treatment as excessive exposure to sun could cause hyper pigmentation of the skin.
-
DO – Inform your therapist immediately of any adverse reactions.
-
DO – Use clean razors and fresh towels to avoid any reactions.
-
DON’T – Put any further heat into the skin for the next 48 hours. Avoid all heat treatments such as steam rooms, saunas, hot baths and showers and avoid excessive gym sessions.
-
DON’T – Apply perfumed creams, soaps, deodorant and lotions to the area for 48 hours after treatment.
-
DON’T – Excessively touch, pick or scratch the area.
-
Avoid sun exposure for the recommended time told by your therapist.
